Pre-Procedure Instructions for Permanent Makeup Procedures

Before your permanent makeup procedure, whether it's for eyebrows, eyeliner, or lip tattoo, please follow these guidelines to ensure the best results and a successful experience:

1. Avoid Certain Medications: Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or fish oil, for at least 72 hours before your appointment, unless advised otherwise by your healthcare provider.

2. Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Limit your alcohol and caffeine intake 24 hours before the procedure, as they can increase sensitivity and potentially affect the outcome.

3. Avoid Sun Exposure: Minimize sun exposure and do not use tanning beds for at least two weeks prior to your appointment, as sunburned or tanned skin is not suitable for the procedure.

4. Do Not Wax or Thread: Refrain from waxing or threading the area to be treated for at least one week before the procedure to avoid skin irritation.

5. Contact Lens Removal (for eyeliner): If you wear contact lenses, please remove them before the eyeliner procedure. It is recommended to wear glasses on the day of your appointment.

6. Avoid Lip Fillers (for lip tattoo): If you have had lip fillers, wait at least two weeks before getting a lip tattoo to allow the fillers to settle.

7. Inform Your Technician: Notify your technician about any skin conditions, allergies, or health issues that may affect the procedure or your skin's healing process.

8. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to keep your skin hydrated and in optimal condition.

9. Arrive Prepared: Come to your appointment with clean skin, free of makeup, creams, or lotions in the area to be treated.

Following these pre-procedure instructions will help ensure that you achieve the best results from your permanent makeup procedure. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us prior to your appointment.

Aftercare Instructions for Permanent Makeup Procedures

Immediate Aftercare (First 24 Hours)

1. Clean the Area Gently:

- Use a clean, damp cotton pad to gently blot the area every 30 minutes for the first 4 hours to remove any lymph fluid.

- Do not wash your brows directly with water during the first day.

2. Avoid Moisture:

- Keep the brows dry and avoid excessive sweating.

- Avoid activities that may cause you to sweat heavily.

Days 2-10: Healing Phase

3. Cleanse and Moisturize:

- Cleanse the brows gently with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser twice a day (morning and night).

- Pat the area dry with a clean tissue or towel.

- Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment (provided by your technician) to keep the area moisturized.

4. Avoid Certain Activities:

- Avoid swimming, saunas, hot tubs, and prolonged exposure to water.

- Avoid excessive sweating from activities like intense exercise.

- Do not use makeup on or around the brows.

5. Protect from Sun:

- Avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds.

- Wear a hat or use a physical barrier if you need to be outside.

6. Avoid Touching or Scratching:

- Do not pick, scratch, or rub the brows.

- Let any scabs fall off naturally to avoid pigment loss.

6. No Facial Treatments:

- Avoid facials, chemical peels, and other skin treatments on the brow area until fully healed.

Long-Term Aftercare

1. Sun Protection:

- Always apply sunscreen (at least SPF 30) on the brows once fully healed to prevent fading.

2. Moisturize Regularly:

- Keep the brows moisturized with a gentle, non-irritating moisturizer.

3. Touch-Ups:

- Schedule a touch-up appointment 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect the shape and color.

- Follow any specific instructions given by your technician for long-term care.

Possible Side Effects

- Redness and Swelling: It is normal to experience some redness and swelling for the first few days.

- Itching and Flaking: This is part of the healing process; avoid picking at the area.

- Color Changes: The color will initially appear darker and will fade to the desired shade within 2-4 weeks.

If you experience any signs of infection, such as excessive redness, swelling, pus, or severe discomfort, please contact us:

Follow these instructions carefully to ensure the best healing and results for your Permanent Makeup Brows.
